Home Information Identify your Plug & Lead Type IDENTIFYING PLUG & LEAD TYPE A number of products we sell are listed with multiple options for the cord / plug type. If you are unfamiliar with these, its difficult to identify. Products you may need to select the plug type for include many pumps, air blowers, ozone and other electrical items. Displayed below are the various 'families' of common plug and lead types available so that you can identify the cord type you need to order. Note that in some cases the cord type you have is not necessarily the could type you 'should' have (see note at the bottom regarding AMP cords) 1. Plug & Lead type: BLANK - for direct termination, ring or spade terminal connection 2. Plug & Lead type: LC - used on Aeware in. x series spa packs - suits ozone, blower, circ pumps 3. Plug & Lead type: HC - used on Aeware in. x series spa packs - suits 1 & 2 speed jet pumps 4. The compressor does not have a water vapor purge that operates while it ius running, but when the bleed valve is opened after filling, water vapor is blown out. The user sets the desired fill pressure on the pressure gauge, not to exceed 4500 psi. Then the machine is started, and when the pressure rises to the set point, the compressor turns off. Set the desired fill pressure by pushing in on the red button and turning the needle it moves to the desired pressure. When the larger fill needle contacts the set needle, the compressor switches off. The cooling system still runs, though. This gauge is labeled in both bar and pounds per square inch (psi). This compressor is lubricated by oil. I mention this because all the compressors on the market lubricate differently. The ones that use a hand pump use grease. My Omega SuperCharger uses grease. But the compressors with conventional pistons all seem to use standard compressor oil that can be bought at any automotive store, and the Air Venturi uses either that or 5W40 motor oil.
A hot tub air control is simply a valve, 95% of the time it is located spa topside, the actual control is just a pipe, plumbed to the jets, with a knob that allows you to control the amount of air introduced into the hot tub's jet system. Turning the knob counter-clockwise increases the air, turning clockwise decreases or shuts off the air. Located on your spa these round knobs allow the water flowing through the jets to suck air into the venturi. If water is coming OUT of the air control, you have some sort of jet blockage, remove your hot tub jet inserts by turning counter clockwise and remove any built up debris. Don't force them, clean your insert and check for broken or missing o-rings (not on all spas). If a round gasket comes out when you remove the jet insert, be sure you put it back (not on all spas). There are numerous jet manufacturers with their own distinct characteristics so please ring us if you need advice.
